More than a fortnight into the January transfer window BBC Scotland are still waiting to celebrate Micky Beale’s first signing.

Apparently the former Liverpool u-6 coach is really pleased with the way that negotiations are progressing but the team at the state broadcaster are getting a bit impatient to introduce new Ibrox heroes.

French website Jeunes Foot is hardly a mainstream source but BBC Scotland have been forced to dig deep to find an upbeat Ibrox story to lead their gossip page.

It seems that 18-year-old Anderlecht defender Noah Sadiki is a transfer target for the Beale Revolution. With PSV Eindhoven and Lille also showing interest it is unlikely that Kenny Macintyre, Tom English, Alasdair Lamont, Steven Thompson, Richard Foster or Jane Lewis will be interviewing Sadiki any time soon.

It’s not just the publicly funded BBC that are at it in Scotland with their favourite clumpany feel good love fest ,is it ?There’s Sky sports ,Stv news and the entire SMSM at any given opportunity ! It’s blatant and profound and unfortunately has been ongoing for decades . I don’t know the entire answer to the problem as it’s intricately linked into society in Scotland ….. Get a giant tin opener and open up wee Scotland land and the stench knocks you off your feet ,that much I do know as fact !
