Kemar Roofe is facing up to his third spell on the sidelines this season.

It took until October 19 for the former Leeds United striker to make his first appearance off the bench but three days later he picked up another knock that ruled him out until after the World Cup break.

Roofe made his latest comeback away to Dundee United on January 8 but after a scoring appearance at Hampden on Sunday is facing upto a new injury concern.

The striker remained still as he fell to the ground in extra-time before being substituted, leaving the pitch concerned by his left arm although there was no dislocation of his shoulder.

Asked for an update on Roofe at today’s media conference Micky Beale said:

It is a real sore one. He has had the scan and he is going to see somebody else, to get a second opinion. It is an injury he has had on the other side previously but it is not a break in terms of dislocation.

There is a bit of a separation at the top, that just needs to take its time. For some people it is less time, for other people it is more. It is how Kemar feels in the coming days and weeks.

A bit of separation sounds nasty, later in the conference Beale admitted that he didn’t yet know if Roofe would be out for weeks or months.

Alfredo Morelos and Antonio Colak are the other strikers available to the Ibrox boss.
