The Daily Record certainly got plenty of feedback and interaction to Keith Jackson’s latest attack on Ange Postecoglou.
Last Monday the Celtic boss was accused of wallowing in self pity, this weeks he has apparently been fuelling paranoia!
After Postecoglou had made rationed points about the implementation of VAR his comments were predictably followed by media calls about paranoia and conspiracies. Don’t take a look at the baffling incidents and non-decisions.
It seems that a look at the 10 rounds of SPFL fixtures with VAR in operation was too much like hard work.
Failing that publishing a table of penalties conceded would highlight how the SPFL leaders have had five penalties awarded against them while the side in second place have yet to have a single penalty awarded against them.
Celtic may have benefited from one dubious decision on Saturday, according to Jackson that kills off the debate about the handball incidents involving Connor Goldson, Michael Smith, Alexandro Beranabei and Matt O’Riley while the offside decisions given against Liel Abada against Hearts and Livingston don’t matter since Celtic won the matches anyway.
And the use of a long distance camera to justify disallowing a ‘goal’ from Jota is just one of those things that balance out over the course of a season, obviously.
Tomorrow Celtic will give the Daily Record and other newspapers a special invite to preview Wednesday’s game against St Mirren, perhaps Jackson can put his points directly to Postecoglou?
Celtic VAR paranoia can be put to bed after Hampden howlers force Ange to eat his words | Keith Jacksonhttps://t.co/fpIfeDlkdx

Disgraceful article from a so called ‘ journalist ‘ and even more disgraceful that it was allowed to go to print
— SevilleSurvivor03 (@SSurvivor03) January 16, 2023
Let’s ignore well documented-historical lists of nonsensical decision making pre/post VAR that ‘randomly’ seem to give AFKA Rangers and their predecessors continual advantage. Why? Because Celtic got one decision in their favour. Why me, like many, not bought a paper in 20 years!

It’s naw paranoia when it happens every game it’s consistently every goal we score gets checked for way longer than other teams it’s clearly always us and then var ‘breaks when Kent punches scales

@CelticFCSLO is it not about time we banned this rag from Celtic Park? The unwarranted attacks on Ange and the club are suitable grounds, PR vehicle for sevco and pay a pretty penny for the privilege
— Saorse (@strochgarngad) January 16, 2023
And so it begins, how predictable.
Will be hearing about this everytime another dodgy decision is given against us…..aye but!
Job done.
Not a mention of the hand ball at hatates goal, or a mention of Kents hook.
Should have been 2 nil before the incident, and red to killie— hatategoal (@hatatigoal) January 16, 2023
Get yourself into one of the press conferences , as a “jornalist,” and ask Ange if he has been forced to eat his words.
I won’t hold my breath.— Highland__Paddy (@Highland__paddy) January 16, 2023
So Kilmarnock get denied a soft penalty in the same game where Hatate wrongly got a goal chopped off and that evens things up then? The same weekend Ryan Kent punches a player in the face and VAR doesn’t even look at it. Aye ok then

The old paranoid patter getting rolled out again. Don’t recall it ever being used when it was alleged 10 Clubs voted to bring the winter shutdown forward for the benefit of one Club last year, @tedermeatballs.?
— Swed? (@Swedleypops) January 16, 2023
2x goals disallowed. At 1 we should have had a pen for clear handball and the other in the photo they use to show Kyogo minutely offside, the ball hasn’t left the foot of the passing player.
The so called Kilmarnock penalty the player crumbled to the ground as he did all game.— Martin Mc1967 (@Martinmc1967) January 16, 2023

Do they? One beneficial call wipes out all the poor calls? Not sure that’s how it works mate.

Yeah that’s right. The 1 decision that’s gone in our favour cancels out about 10 that gone against us in the last few months.

Missing the point @tedermeatballs
It’s not a bias against Celtic. It’s a bias in favour of Rangers 2.0— One Club Since 1888 ??????????? (@ticfever) January 16, 2023
Lol and our club still allow these scumbags into press conference’s.
Can you imagine this ALKIE BOOZE JOCKEY with a face like a melted wellie had written these articles in the last 2 weeks about the sevco klub,he and others from the daily sevco newspaper would have had a lifetime ban from the BIGOT dome.
But here we have him slating our club and our manager and fans and still allowed into the stadium, and why you may ask the answer is LIEWELL himself allowing his pet Jackass Jackson to do it.
Hoping to upset Ange, then he can bring in the other ALKIE Lennon, the day is getting closer for Lennons return, maybe a wee show up at Hunden for the final next month could be the icing on the cake.
The celtic board love the blue pound to much.
Jackson wasn’t the only one at the snide print in today’s haemorrhoids . Billy Leckie of the Scottish Sun ,that highly educational daily dose of culture ,was in the critique mode too . There we have two reasons amongst many ,many more why people are refusing to buy the newspapers these two typists work for … SMSM journalism standards are disgraceful !
These people are not journalists by any accepted definition of the word.
They are worse than tarts, who only sell their bodies for money.
In my opinion we should have a protest outside the SFA and as fan of football demand answers to why Celtic is being singled out for this sort of treatment. If we don’t take this peaceful action it will continue yearly.
Editor: Since Celtic are sitting in silence no-one is going to take notice of any action from supporters.
Do you want to bet on that editor, when no cash is coming in from season books and merchandise they will soon take notice, just ask the Whytes that question attendances dropping towards 10,000.
They won’t be long in getting the message.
Totally lacking in self-awareness. Never stop to consider what they are doing. Shameless morons! (And there’s plenty like him)!
Cannot comment on Jakshuns report as I gave up reading it. I think it was ghost written by a 9 year whose second language is English.
If this was penned by a card holding churnalist he needs to re-sit his final year. UTTER GARBAGE.
