Des Roach has called on the SFA to demote Willie Collum.
The workings of the SFA refereeing department remains something of a mystery with the same familiar faces constantly getting the high profile appointments.
A place on the FIFA list seems to further secure appointments at the top matches with Collum taking charge of his first Glasgow derby back in 2010.
St Johnstone visiting Ibrox ought to be a fairly low risk match but three decisions by the match referee dragged Collum into the headlines with Saints boss Callum Davidson furious at how his side was treated.
Roach and Steve Conroy are trying to create a profile in the media with their former colleagues providing plenty of content for them to discuss.

The penalty call was wrong in my view. James Brown couldn’t possibly get out of the way when the ball hit his arm. It was never a red card when Nicky Clark challenged Ryan Jack – and Jack should have been sent off for his challenge on Adam Montgomery. So there were three mistakes.
Everyone can have a bad day at the office – a player or a referee – but when you continue to have bad days then what happens? Do the SFA continue to appoint him?
I think it is time he’s held accountable, and that’s up to the SFA and the referee’s committee. They have to decide what games he gets now.
If it was me, I would take myself out of the equation. His best days are behind him. As I say, if I was making as many highlighted errors, I would take myself out of the limelight.
Back in August Collum sent off John Lundstram and Alfredo Morelos against Hibs with the Lundstram red card overturned on appeal.
With Glasgow derbies coming up on February 26 and April 10 it would be a surprise if Collum wasn’t put in charge of one of those fixtures.
Why just collum?? And why wen it involves at mob its always an outcry in press an telly,, they’re all hiding behind var to excuses certain decisions that are made by all the refs,or is it getting harder to justify these calls,
Willie Collum doesnt need demoted, like most of the other refs in Scotland they are hamstrung by their bosses and the obvious bias that all of them need to show to continue to get picked at the top level.
Its this bias that makes them loom bad at what they do, they are forced to make decisions that make no sense in defence of one club and when they have to make similar decisions which in essence are relatively normal, other clubs supporters get up in arms and view it as inconsistency. These refs are giving up their reputations in Europe to accommodate a bias within the game here, unless they all take a stand and say enough is enough then it will never end, but if course, when some of them are season ticket holders, employees of certain clubs and OO members…do they want to?
The most crooked national game there is.
The state those refs are in no wonder none of them got near a game to ref or even be a fourth official at the World Cup.
There was refs from nickel&dime Football Associations in charge of ganes at the World Cup while the Scottish bawbags watched on from the TV,that’s all we need to know.

Why stop at colum what about nick Walsh John Beaton etc they r worse in my view
