After 45 frustrating minutes at Tannadice it took two moments of extreme skill to give Celtic the breakthrough against Dundee United.
During the first half the homeside kept Celtic at bay, defending in depth to limit the space that Ange Postecoglou’s side could operate in.
Tannadice doesn’t lend itself to great wing play, through the centre there weren’t many openings to excite the away fans behind Mark Birighitti’s goal.

After the half time break there was a new dynamic to Celtic’s play but it took two special moments of skill to break the resistance of the home side.
Aaron Mooy’s cross from the deep on the right wing caused the home goalkeeper all sorts of problems, it was too high for Birighitti to catch but somehow the United keeper found himself behind his own goal-line.
Jota followed the flight of the ball, he had no margin for error and a big goalpost to damage his good looks but he knew that he had a split second to get it right- and back across goal and into the net from a ridiculous angle the ball flew.
Five minutes later a penalty was awarded after a Jota pass was handled, Mooy stepped up to score from the penalty spot and a potentially difficult away trip was navigated with full points collected.
Both grade 1 referees missed a united player push KYOGO and the goalkeeper push and go through KYOGO to get to the ball. 1 grade 1 referee missed a handball the on field grade 1 referee was told by the other grade 1 referee to look at it again using the new technology he then gave the handball but took no action against the united player. We are told “rules are rules” then we are told by the same people “it’s down to interpretation” both terms can not be right… So I’ll help and put both terms into one……they are CHEATING
