After 17 appearances for St Johnstone Adam Montgomery was spotted training at Lennoxtown today.
Playing anywhere on the left the 20-year-old was a regular in Ange Postecoglou’s matchday squad in the first half of last season, supplying the vital assist for Jota to deliver the new manager with his first away win at Aberdeen in October.
Going on loan to Pittodrie last January didn’t turn out as expected with Stephen Glass sacked and Jim Goodwin taking over ahead of an end of season clear out.

St Johnstone provided Montgomery with the regular first team football that his career needed, a return could still be arranged but there is a chance that he could be required by Postecoglou over the coming weeks.
Greg Taylor’s hamstring problem has promoted Alexandro Bernabei into the starting XI, if anything happens to the Argentinian there could be an unexpected opening for Montgomeryy.
NB After playing for St Johnstone in the Viaplay Cup earlier in the season Montgomery can’t be considered for Saturday’s semi-final against Kilmarnock.
