Standard Liege aren’t giving Ross Wilson much encouragement in his attempt to sign Nicolas Raskin.
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer but the Belgian side are prepared to stick it out for a UEFA development fee rather than accept a low-ball bid from the Ibrox transfer guru.
Micky Beale went into great detail about Raskin at last Friday’s media conference but the London geezer just likes talking about good footballers, he doesn’t indulge in speculation about players contracted to other clubs.
UPDATE: De biedingen van Valladolid voor Amallah en Rangers voor Raskin zijn inmiddels binnen bij @Standard_RSCL. Onderhandelingen lopen. Verwachting is dat Amallah heel snel rondkomt. Rangers moet nog pak verder springen. @hlnsport

A year ago Hearts were put in a similar situation over John Souttar with pressure piled on by the Scottish media.
The Edinburgh side refused to buckle to a low bid spread over several instalments, Souttar moved to Ibrox as a free agent in the close season and hasn’t been seen since being substituted on his debut away to Livingston in July.
