Celtic are reported to be looking for a fee of around £6m for Giorgos Giakoumakis.
Earlier today a report from Denmark claimed that Midtjylland had been in talks about signing the Celtic striker but a fee of that level and a considerable wage hike would appear to be beyond any Scandinavia club.
With Giakoumakis and Vasilis Barkas at Celtic Giannis Chorianopoulos of Sport Time Greece has been a reliable source of information relating to both players.
Due to the circumstances involved prior to moving to Celtic, Barkas is likely to be on a significantly higher salary than Giakoumakis.

With a contract running until May 2026 Celtic will have almost complete control over what happens to Giakoumakis this month but no club wants to hold on to a player that may be unhappy.
After sharing the striking duties with Kyogo Furuhashi prior to the World Cup Finals Giakoumakis has been relegated to the substitute bench in each of the last five SPFL matches.
Great big player who does deserve to start more games than he has.
