Nick Walsh wasn’t slow to issue Anthony Stewart of Aberdeen with a red card for a wild lunge at Fashion Sakala in the third minute of added time in today’s Viaplay Cup semi-final at Hampden.

It was a senseless lunge from the Aberdeen skipper a 50-50 red card shout, with Walsh in charge there was no surprise that Stewart was sent off.

Soon afterwards Ryan Kent lashed out with both arms at Liam Scales just outside the centre circle.

Walsh decided to ignore it with VAR Alan Muir doing the same to ensure that Micky Beale’s side had a one man advantage going into extra-time.

Substitute Kemar Roofe scored in extra-time then went off injured with what appeared to be a dislocated shoulder, the former Leeds striker was making his fourth appearance of the season, all coming off the bench.

Today was the sixth time in 24 domestic matches that Walsh has been in charge of the Ibrox club, tomorrow he will be back at work at Boclair Academy, planning fitness programmes for the Murray Park starlets.

Nae booking so will get a retrospective red card, with the final decision being made by
    Judge (knuckles) Callaway…. (;-0)

We’re up against it in the final and I don’t mean from that bang average team

He needs to win a cup or they’ll turn on him

and they’ll go all out to make sure he does

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I think you’re right Harold and while that incident today has nothing to do with Celtic these types of decisions are why I’ll probably never put a penny over the turnstiles in the Senior game here ever again after 25 years of it (1988 – 2013)

We probably got away with a penalty yesterday – I’d rather it was given to Killie if it definitely was – as like every other Hoops fan I want only fairness and not favours !

Lol the shape of things to come once again your watching a rigged game.
Now hurry up and part with your cash because big Peter LIEWELL is waiting to cash it in at the bank.
I have told you all before stay away from the game your buying into a game that’s fixed.
Their name is on that trophy just now,so don’t say you all had not been warned.
So stay away just now don’t buy a ticket for the final because if you complain after the final is lost after attending it,well you all will only have yourselves to blame .
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN THE CURE,STAY AWAY.

So let me get this right, as I find it is unbelievable. The var broke down exactly at the moment Kunt punched Sands.
Let’s see if the sheep chairman has more balls to call out this blatant cheating than Liewall or Nicholson

  • Scud Missile says:

So the VAR broke down aye right, what was it purchased from Tam Shepherds joke shop.
Just like the CCTV was broke when the broken glass was thrown on to the pitch last season, mmm I see a pattern here even the bold Stevie Wonder can see that.

  • Scud Missile says:

Bye Ange it was nice knowing you,he ain’t putting up with this SHITE,gone before the final he ain’t being part of the BIG FIX.

  • John S says:

When is VAR not VAR ? When it’s ignored.

  • Mickybhoy71 says:

So sevco players know they can get away with hand ball in the box, fat boy pushed a hibs player to the ground a few weeks ago, so Kunt now assaults Sands knowing there will be no punishment.. As for retrospective punishment? Forget it. The TV hun editors have already deleted the best angle.
Your right Ange isn’t a weak fool who sits at the back of the bus. He will jump ship without signing a non disclosure!

  • Bob (original) says:

    Forget the ref and VAR…

what the hell are the linesmen doing?!

Match officiating standards have arguably declined further with VAR in Scotland.

Is the SFA even interested in sorting this out…? 🙁

  • Vino says:

THOSE “so-called refs and VAR” ARE CHEATING SCUMBAGS. I HEARD JOCK STEIN SAYING YEARS AGO..HE SAID THAT YOU HAVE TO BEAT 14 INSTEAD OF 11 PLAYERS.
