Callum McGregor is waiting for VAR to balance out the dodgy decisions that Celtic have suffered from this season.
Since the SFA introduced video technology Celtic have had five penalties awarded against them in 11 matches with just one going their way.
In the recent Glasgow derby the hoops went behind to a penalty awarded against Carl Starfelt then were denied one at the other end when Connor Goldson handled a shot from the Swedish defender.
It seems that the SFA have left the handball issue at the descension of the match officials with bizarre decisions involving Alexandro Bernabei and Matt O’Riley going against Celtic.
Discussing the VAR issues, McGregor told The Sun:
When we started playing with VAR, it teaches you to defend differently in the box.
You have to, at all costs, keep your hands by your side when sometimes even that’s not enough. It’s difficult for the players, but it’s tough for the officials as well.
The quicker we can get clarity on it and resolve the issue, hopefully you will start to see some consistency in the decisions. Then, over time, it will level itself out.
We probably need a couple of good ones to go for us for that to happen. The law of averages would suggest that, over a season, it will. But we need to get some good ones between now and the end of the season
Are you satisfied with way Celtic have dealt with the VAR issues highlighted by Ange?
Yes, working quietly in the background is the way to go
No, these issues need challenged in public at every turn
On Saturday against Kilmarnock Willie Collum will referee the match with Greg Aitken on VAR duty despite living and working in Kilmarnock and attending Kilmarnock Academy.
Good on our Captain CalMac for at least mentioning it. However, truth demands not good or bad decisions are central, it’s CORRECT decisions that matter.
Unbiased, correct decisions with consistency, that’s all.
I’m a life-long Tim who’s ‘seen it all’, all versions of their cheating. They love it, I hate it.
Give us honesty, just honesty. Nothing more.

We don’t want or need bad decisions to even themselves out all we need is the correct decisions to be made each and every time regardless of what team we play
