On Monday morning cheeky chappy Ally McCoist suggested to a caller on Talksport that he would happily pay for a taxi to take Ange Postecoglou to Leeds United.
Oh how they laughed. Almost as much as when McCoist and Alan Brazil broke the news over the appointment of Celtic’s new manager in June 2021.
McCoist’s gag wasn’t very funny at the time but it clearly tickled Barry Ferguson who used it as the introduction to his column in today’s Daily Record.
Strangely, not only did the sub-editor agree that it was a right laugh but someone in the Record’s Social Media team decided to run with it as well.
It did generate a certain amount of interactions- as the Record’s credibility took another tanking through a pile on of amused Celtic fans.
