John Kennedy has taken the place of Ange Postecoglou for today’s media conference.
With constant media speculation/wishful thinking that the hoops boss is a target for Leeds United his absence is bound to raise some hopes that there is something to the speculation.
A more likely explanation is that Postecoglou is sick and tired of being questioned by people who would love to see the back of him due to the success that he has brought Celtic.
Kennedy is a very safe pair of hands to discuss a match against St Mirren, and is streetwise enough to spot the roundabout ways in which some will try to get comment on the Leeds speculation.
Sidestepping the media panto gives Postecoglou additional time with the Celtic squad, tomorrow he will be expected to give pre-match interviews to Viaplay Sports, BBC Scotland and Celtic TV assessing the match against St Mirren with BBC Scotland certainly digging for other angles.

Here’s a shocker instead of “sidestepping because media speculation ” why not come on and blow it out the water, all he’s done is increase the speculation by a factor of 10.
