Micky Beale finks that he knows all of the great traditions of Ibrox based on a pre-match visit to the Louden Tavern and being the cleverest person that he knows.
On day one in front of the media he promised that not only would be wear a matchday suit (with zipper on top of shirt) but he’d have the players turn up for fixtures wearing their smart club suits.
When Malik Tillman took advantage of the sportsmanship of Partick Thistle players Beale ordered his side to concede a goal then spoke of some fictional standards applied by the club formed by Charles Green in 2012.
Today however at his media conference the former Liverpool u-7’s coach came close to unfurling the white flag as far as the SPFL title is concerned.
With 13 matches left to play his side trail Celtic by nine points and 25 goals. By winning all of their remaining matches- including two Glasgow derbies- the gap is cut down to just three points which is one more defeat for the hoops and Beale’s side will win the title.
Strangely the highly talkative Ibrox boss went off message today.
Last Sunday’s act of supreme sportsmanship wasn’t welcomed by most bears in the stadium, if more points are dropped before Celtic slip up some fans might question the genius of the training ground who stares into the eyes of transfer targets before seducing them to Ibrox.

Beale might be a ‘legned’ on the training pitch,
but the more he talks, this rookie manager sounds like a bit of a dafty?
As a player, as a manager, the standard response is always:
“We keep playing and winning as best we can – we will never give up!”
Sounds like he’s chucked the SPL title already.
And guess what?
His players will be chucking it in the league too!

This fella appears fragile when he is winning and the papers are right behind him. Can you imagine what he would have been like if he had the reception that Ange had and the rocky start. He hasn’t had a wobble and a wobbla will come. This mental midget might fall apart. I am looking forward to some agitated press conferences once he loses a few times. He ain’t no Ange.
