Fashion Sakala is the latest Ibrox employee to play to the gallery in the build up to the Viaplay Cup Final.
Over the last couple of weeks Micky Beale branded Ange Postecoglou a lucky manager and claimed that Celtic have been able to outspend their city rivals in the transfer market.
From Postecoglou down, no-one at Celtic discusses any aspect of the Ibrox club with the full focus on training sessions, preparing for matches and setting higher standards with each passing performance.
Sakala has started 12 of this season’s 26 SPFL matches but is in contention to start Sunday’s match.
Today the forward was put up for media duties with the Daily Record reporting Sakala saying:
Obviously, I know how important the game is when you play the other mob. I believe it is all about the badge, and I don’t really think about my individual performance, the most important thing is about the win for the fans, and the club and the good performance from the players.
No doubt that comment will be put to whatever Celtic players are selected for media duties, like their manager it will almost certainly be neatly side-stepped.
I’ve a feeling that with Fashion Sakala being the latest Pulitzer Prize candidate for literature trying to sound loyal and dependable to his Ibrox paymasters ,that he’s in grave danger of keeping the bench warm for other highly valuable team mates !
