The home comforts that all point towards title two for Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou virtually disregards all sorts of statistics and omens but Celtic fans will take great comfort from the pre-split fixtures that their side is facing.

With eight definite fixtures to be played the SPFL computer has allocated five of them for Celtic Park where the hoops have a 100% record from 12 matches. One home defeat in five years with fans in the ground is a stat that is hard to overlook.

Livingston have lost twice with the remaining Premiership clubs also leaving the east end pointless as Celtic power towards a title.

Last season points were dropped to Dundee United, Livingston and in the post-split Glasgow Derby but Postecoglou’s side remained unbeaten as they won the title back.

The freaky nature of the 20/21 stands out like a sore thumb, tucked in among those results was a run of four successive home defeats which was the worst run of results since the fifties.

With the fans back the trends have returned. As he has done throughout Postecoglou will focus on his own side in training this week at Lennoxtown, look to build on the win over St Johnstone as they prepare for St Mirren in the Scottish Cup and taking a step towards the one that got away last season.
