A graphic produced yesterday by Viaplay Sports sent a shiver of fear through the Gullible & Deluded.
Even merging together the trophy count of the two Ibrox clubs, including plenty won while using ineligible players, there really isn’t much difference in the two corners of Glasgow.
As recently as 2016 Celtic won their 100th trophy when Aberdeen were beaten in the League Cup Final, maintaining that trophy collecting rate over the next couple of years is a prospect that haunts bears who climbed out of the woodwork during the Lockdown season.
As any football fans knows the merits of the European Cup and the now defunct Cup Winners Cup are poles apart, like most proper clubs only winning the big cup matters which is why Real Madrid are the world’s most successful club.
