Chris Sutton has sent out an appeal for the playing stats of Micky Beale.

Apparently Chelsea is the club that the Ibrox boss has always supported despite declaring his love for bitter West London rivals last summer.

A few months into that gig loyal Beale packed his bags for Ibrox- buying in to the overwhelming paranoia that sweeps from the message boards to the stands and up the marble staircase to the boardroom.

Criticising Sutton earned the former Liverpool u-5s coach extra staunch points among bears but he has picked on the wrong media target.

‘Chelsea’s worst ever signing’ is in high demand with BT Sport, the Daily Mail and BBC 5 Live! All having contracts for his views and opinions as well as his weekly column in the Daily Record.

Sutton fired a couple of tweets towards Beale during Friday afternoon, covering his appearance on Scottish Football Extra tonight The Sun reports the former Chelsea striker saying:

What is Mick Beale getting his knickers in a twist about? He’s so thin-skinned isn’t he? What have I said which was wrong?

All I did was, on BBC radio, I asked Mark Chapman if he’d have done the same against Celtic. Mick got personal! He started talking about my playing career.

I can’t possibly comment on his playing career for obvious reasons. He started talking about comedy acts… the way he left QPR under a cloud was a comedy act. I’d go as far as to say that I’m more popular in West London than Mick Beale is!

Very little is known of Beale’s playing career, after a year making no progress at Charlton he moved to Holland before deciding that coaching offered him a chance of earning a living out of the game that he couldn’t play.
