After a month of hype it was almost inevitable that Sunday’s Viaplay Cup Final would end in tears for some.
Back in December 2019 Ryan Jack had the consoling figure of James Tavernier to turn to when the final whistle blew on Celtic’s victory over Steven Gerrard’s side.
After a decade of misery brightened by one behind-closed-doors success Ibrox fans have been in need of good news with Micky Beale leading them like the Pied Piper to Hampden.
All sorts of media figures told them that there was nothing between the two Glasgow clubs, Beale got stuck into Chris Sutton and Fashion Sakala almost spat out the words ‘the other mob’.
Sunday was to be their day but just before half-time Kyogo Furuhashi broke with the script to put Celtic in front, sadly for one bear it proved to be just too much to take.

There was further pain early in the second half when Kyogo scored again, just before 5pm the final whistle blew as another Celtic party kicked off leaving more than a few bears broken hearted.
Don’t you just love their pain? Lol
Salty, salty tears.
Did somebody say something?
The people of Glasgow thank you Kyogo San for saving our streets and public buildings from the Yahoos pissing and shitting everywhere and destroying public monuments.
Arigato.
