BBC Scotland cut short an interview with Ange Postecoglou when the Celtic boss made a very pointed comment about VAR.
For the sixth time since VAR was introduced to the SPFL in mid-October a penalty was awarded against Postecoglou’s side.
What Greg Taylor is expected to do when the ball is fired at him from less than a yard away is anyone’s guess, David Dickinson had a perfect view of the incident but three minutes later when play halted the referee was sent to the pitchside monitor to take another look.
Seven minutes from half-time Dickinson showed a red card to Charles Dunne and pointed to the penalty spot after the Saints defender had bundled Kyogo Furuhashi to the ground.
After a pause Andrew Dallas on VAR ruled that it should be a free kick rather than a penalty without pointing Dickinson to take a look at the monitor.
Later in the second half the referee did look at the monitor before awarding a penalty after Oh Hyeon-gyu had his jersey pulled.

BBC Scotland: In terms of the incident around the red card, what is your view of how that played out, even the fact that the referee didn’t come over and look at the decision for the penalty?
AP: Look, em, don’t know, it’s, VAR doesn’t miss anything by the looks of it – especially with us.

Postecoglou’s answer was an open goal for further questioning, strangely the BBC reporter decided not to ask the obvious follow up.
