Avi Luzon believes that Liel Abada will be sold by Celtic in the summer.

With a sell on clause involved the owner of Maccabi Petah Tikva has a very vested interest in the winger being sold on.

Abada signed a five year contract with Celtic in July 2021, at the end of this season he won’t have reached the halfway point but similar conditions applied to Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic in January.

This week Abada will be on international duty which is a notorious time for transfer stories to emerge which won’t come as any surprise to Ange Postecoglou or Celtic.

Asked about Abada, Luzon told Israeli site One:

I believe he will be sold in the summer to the Premier League. There were talks already in the last window, but he didn’t want to be sold.

They offered him a contract extension and I know he didn’t agree, because he wants to be sold. I don’t know the names of teams, but there are offers and I believe At a probability level of over 90% that he will move to the Premier League in the summer.

I hope that he will continue to score goals until the end of the season and then he will be sold for sure and then he will be sold for sure.

The form of Daizen Maeda since the World Cup has resulted in Abada mainly starting matches on the bench but alongside Matt O’Riley he is the only outfield player to have played in every SPFL match this season.

Just like in January there is likely to be players moving out of Celtic in the summer, with three years left on his contract Abada will only be on the move if the terms suit Postecoglou with a replacement lined up.

To be honest if he wants to leave, fine he won’t be the first or the last who believes he’s bigger or too good for Celtic. Most times his final ball is poor never looks up before passing.and like most wingers blows hot and cold,so goodbye good luck don’t bang the door when you leave

They’re good odds for a move to the Premier League in the summer! I’d have a fiver on that with Avi Luzon, if only to prove him wrong!
Chances are somebody has slipped Avi a fiver to open his mouth on this. Never heard of the guy before!
