Despite the multiple issues facing their club one Ibrox media partner is concentrating his energy on restoring the media ban on the Daily Record.

Previous PR chief David Graham was well on board with that message, charging media outlets for bread and butter coverage with STV and Go Radio the only companies to cough up.

At the start of this season things seemed to be relaxed with newspapers given separate conferences to broadcast media, holding back their exclusives for print and going digital at 10.30pm at night.

Aside from that Chris Sutton is now dominating the thoughts of the Ibrox management team as well as large sections of the support.

Since the Record pays Sutton for a Saturday morning column the owner of Follow Follow has asked whether the ban should be reassessed. Every day the Ibrox message board shares pages from the Record inviting members to get upset and angry over the media hostility that their club suffers from.

Some might suggest that the club has bigger issues to deal with that the comments of a former Celtic striker.

In today’s Record Sutton discusses copying the Celtic huddle, the issue that upset Beale was asking whether the rookie boss would have made the same decision against Celtic as he did when he instructed his players to allow Partick Thistle to score after Malik Tillman took advantage of the sportsmanship of the Championship players.

If Celtic supporters have tears in their eyes they are tears of laughter at the stupidest fans in football.

Hun tears however are real…………………. and delicious.

You would assume that the daily Record rag having 6 full time staunch the Rangers print scoops and a multitude of digital fan boys typing like good yins every day with positive Ibrox tales ,would be very ,very friendly with those succulent chaps down Govan way ! As they say in Lancashire…Icky Thump !
