Ibrox security forces tried to clamp down on a banner wanting Stewart Robertson and Ross Wilson out of the club.

An image used extensively on Twitter this week was converted into a banner and taken to today’s match at home to Kilmarnock.

Robertson was appointed as Managing Director soon after Dave King’s 2015 takeover but has kept a very low profile, largely due to having a personality as underwhelming as former Celtic chairman Ian Bankier.

Wilson joined the club in November 2018 as Transfer guru after carefully cultivating an image as a wheeler dealer in the transfer market with his media friends.

A strike rate of around 10% in the transfer market has resulted in the bulk of Steven Gerrard’s 2019 squad still being regular first picks.

Last summer around £15m was spent on Ridvan Yilmaz, Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo and Antonio Colak with little impact.

John Souttar and Tom Lawrence were signed on lucrative contracts as free agents although they aren’t earning close to the salaries being pulled in by Kemar Roofe and John Lundstram.

With less than three months left of the season Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Jack, Steve Davis, Scot Arfield, Filip Hellander and Allan McGregor will all be out of contract.
