John Lundstram demonstrated that most footballers live in a different planet as he chucked out comforting soundbites at a media conference today.
Sunday’s defeat from Celtic was actually just a one-off and not just another jigsaw piece that has resulted in Ange Postecoglou’s side dominating their city rivals.
Over the last 12 months Lundstram has lost to Celtic at Hampden, Ibrox and Celtic Park, in five weeks time he will be back at Celtic Park against The Other Mob.
Across social media Ibrox fans have either claimed that the former Sheffield United man with the scary stare is either injured or towing a caravan. The man himself has declared that he is 100% fit which means that he was just outplayed by Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate and Aaron Mooy at the National Stadium.
Today’s media appearance would suggest that Lundstram will remain in the Starting XI to face Kilmarnock alongside wonderboys Nicolas Raskin and Todd Cantwell.
Celtic haven’t lost over 90 minutes in a Glasgow derby since August 2021, a couple of days nefore signing Cameron Carter-Vickers, Jota and Giorgos Giakoumakis.
Disappointed that I wasn’t in the game as much as I wanted to be, couldn’t get as close as I wanted to.
He says he was fit “absolutely of course”
The gap? “It was one game where we didn’t turn up and they did. That doesn’t mix well or look good”

We’ve spoken but we keep that internal but all we can do is going on an another run.
What does a positive season look like? Push the league as much as we can and hopefully reach another cup final.
He said “reach” it twice before mentioning winning it…

No chief it wasn’t just one game ! It was the League Cup Final and you and your team mates bottled it when it mattered . It was also a marker for the rest of the season . It was proof that the Rangers cannot compete at all levels with Celtic FC . The Rangers will always be playing catch up every season and if you think Celtic will stand still while you try to improve ,then you are not paying attention …. So it was not just one game ,was it ! Don’t take my word for it … Ask the Rangers chairman !
Oh John your awful but I like you.
You have to laugh at the sevvies …. saying they hope some team will come in for him, he has to go , has to be sold . He’s one of the highest earners in Scottish football , having negotiated his own contract after a free transfer … no one ( in his footballing ability market ) could afford half his wages …. he’s going nowhere …. he’ll wind his contract down at Sevco Park on £40 k a week !!
Don’t be surprised to see Beale get manager of the year with a player from sevco getting player of the year.
He looks like a scared wee laddie in those photos.
