Micky Beale wants Ryan Jack to be part of his Ibrox Revolution.

The 31-year-old has started less than 100 SPFL matches since moving to Ibrox in the summer of 2017 and is out of contract at the end of this season.

John Lundstram and Glen Kamara were picked ahead of Jack for the Viaplay Cup Final defeat from Celtic last month but Beale is looking for the Ibrox money men to hand the former Aberdeen midfielder a new deal.

The Ibrox boss told The Sun:

A fit Ryan Jack is an excellent player and he was fantastic in midweek. I have to manage him at times to make sure he’s available and fit. He doesn’t like that.

He wants to play every week and sets the standard for us. Ryan is certainly a player I want to work with moving forward.

With Ianis Hagi, Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin at the club and the decision to sign Malik Tillman on a permanent deal a ‘no-brainer’ it looks like Beale will be spoiled for choice in midfield next season.

The former QPR boss is hoping to get Steve Davis signed up as well but it seems that there is no enthusiasm to keep Scot Arfield beyond the end of this season.

Ryan Jack gets injured so often because he is allowed to deliver snide tackles to opponents in which he crocks himself in the process ! Referees for whatever reason are extremely lenient towards the Rangers utility employee who is continually knackered with a capital ‘F !’Players who play the game lawfully and properly don’t get half the injuries Jack gets … Unless he’s just got an unlucky body !
