Alex McLeish believes that the Ibrox Tribute Act are one of only 12 clubs worldwide that must win every week.

With a trophy count less than St Johnstone over the last decade the former Scotland boss appears to be living in some parallel universe.

It seems that the more trophies that Celtic tuck away the greater the delusion is from Ibrox.

Any club that needs to win every week wouldn’t have James Tavernier anywhere their starring XI never mind wearing the captain’s armband and delivering apologies to supporters every couple of months.

Not many of the top dozen clubs in the world would turn to a QPR rookie to take over as manager in mid-season. Etc, etc, etc.

Tucked away in his interview with the Daily Record McLeish claims:

For this group of players there is a huge game ahead in the Scottish Cup. The team would need to claw back the deficit in the league and that means Celtic dropping a helluva lot of points.

At this moment, they don’t look like doing that. Their consistency has been phenomenal. You can’t help that, you just need to keep winning. Rangers are probably one of a dozen clubs in the world who have to win every week.

In season 2005/06 McLeish managed to finish behind Hearts in the SPL.

All clubs have to win every week but not all of them do.

McLeish just another mouthpiece looking for a few quid for his tuppence worth as he,s proved to be useless manager and no one wants him , no even Pollock Jr’s would touch him , another useless pointless opinion
