While Celtic fans fret over the fitness of Reo Hatate it seems that the midfielder has enjoyed an overnight stay in Edinburgh.

Easter Road and Tynecastle weren’t on the itinerary as he shared pictures of Edinburgh Castle last night followed by a daylight picture of a healthy bottle of water.

Hatate lasted less than 15 minutes of last Saturday’s 3-1 win over Hibs, pulling up with what looked like a muscle injury, possibly the dreaded hammy.

Since the immediate post match comments of Ange Postecoglou there has been no word out of Celtic about the extent of the injury.

Virtually nothing can be read into the three part Instagram story but with a glass half full the fact that there is no mention of his injury can perhaps be viewed as good news.

Over the last week there have been scares on international duty for Liel Abada, Daizen Maeda, Sead Haksabanovic and Tony Ralston but it is unlikely that there will be any firm news until Friday’s media conference with Postecoglou.
