Sead Haksabanovic has been selected to start for Montenegro in tonight’s European Championship qualifier at home to Serbia.
The Celtic winger was substituted at half-time in Friday’s win away to Bulgaria with suggestions that he had picked up an injury.
News out of the Montenegro camp has been hard to come by but his inclusion tonight should provide some comfort to Celtic fans concerned by the injury toll on their squad during the international break.
Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda reported for international duty but will return to Celtic without adding to their cap collections.
With Cameron Carter-Vickers, Greg Taylor and Aaron Mooy missing out on international calls to rest injuries and concerns over Reo Hatate and Tony Ralston the medical news from Lennoxtown will be eagerly sought.
On the plus side Sunday’s match away to Ross County gives Ange Postecoglou an additional day to assess the fitness of his internationalists.
