Even without English subtitles it is easy to follow the emotions of Kyogo Furuhashi as a Japanese crew monitor a couple of months in the striker’s life.

The adulation of 60,000 fans every fortnight at Celtic Park is one thing but being overlooked and almost neglected by your international manager can’t be easy to shrug off, especially at World Cup time. Shaking off a serious injury in his first year in Scotland adds to the tale.

For Celtic fans it seems incredible that Hajime Moriyasu has three or four better strikers than the hoops number 8 but the World Cup snub has been followed up by omission from the squad for the March internationals.

The documentary gives Japanese viewers an insight into the adulation that Kyogo enjoys in a strange far off land.

With two months left of this season there is still plenty of chapters to be written into the Kyogo story as he chases down the 30 goal marker with a domestic clean sweep possible for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
