After Celtic dropped points to Motherwell yesterday Ibrox fans were given a little chink of light in a season of misery.

Another away day win at Aberdeen would cut the gap at the top down to 10 points, with a Glasgow Derby to come at Ibrox the gap at the top could have been cut down to respectable levels.

After the final whistle at Pittodrie loyal bears are facing the nightmare prospect of Celtic title parties across Scotland on May 6 when an event is going on in London.

Aberdeen scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half, there was no real response from the visitors without Kevin Clancy to blame this time around.

With Connor Goldson missing in defence the partnership of Ben Davies and John Souttar looked very flaky, with both goals coming from the Dons left flank Tavpen was again found wanting.

Next Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final awaits for Beale, anything is possible over 90 minutes but a defeat will see the pressure pile onto their rookie manager after five months of soothing sound-bites.

Can’t believe the loyal bunch are turning on little Micky B…that’s not right and not one bit loyal imho

Beale clutching at straws yet again by claiming that Dons second goal should not have counted as there was a foul on Sakaia at least 4 stages earlier, as usual another irrelevant bit of posturing from an irresponsible introspective incoherent novice.
