Inbetween covering various EPL matches over the weekend Chris Sutton cast his eye towards Ayrshire for a slice of the Scottish equivalent.
For anyone other than Celtic supporters it wasn’t easy on the eye. A half empty stadium watching a match on a dubious surface doesn’t make for great viewing but with four goals before the half hour mark Ange Postecoglou’s side more than got the job done.
The movement and finishing during that spell was exceptional with Kyogo Furuhashi setting the tone with an opener that was all about anticipation, confidence and finishing ability.
I thought it might be tricky for Celtic on that monstrosity of a pitch… the standard this team have set under Ange Postecoglou are phenomenal.

After two significant roles in last Saturday’s Derby success Matt O’Riley showed that he has regained his scoring touch with a well taken double that took Celtic’s SPFL goal tally to 102.
A 12 point gap boosted by a 29 goal difference cushion is more significant with the title now in touching distance as fans wait for the post split fixtures to be announced by the SPFL.
