Micky Beale has publicly humiliated a Keith Jackson transfer exclusive.
On Wednesday Daily Record readers were given the exciting news that Chris Willock was Ibrox bound, the latest jigsaw piece in the Micky Beale Revolution.
Everything was falling into place, the two men worked together at QPR, spells at Arsenal and Benfica could be added in to every story to create excitement with Beale apparently watching QPR in action last week as he takes on the job but not the salary of Sporting Director.

All was going swimmingly until yesterday’s broadcast media conference when Beale said:
There’s no truth in Chris Willock. Chris is a boy that I worked with, Neil (Banfield) has worked with before but QPR is a club that was close to our heart, we enjoyed our time there but we won’t be going back there in terms of trying to take advantage of anyfingk at that end. So, Chris is QOR’s player, he is a big player for them. I was delighted last week, for Gareth and the staff, Les and everyone there, they got a big result and I would like to squash that one where it is.
In terms of the others (transfer targets) I’ve been busy, busy. Outside of ere and er, I’ve been working really hard, I’ve stopped the last couple of days because the focus is very much this game (Sunday) but I’m pleased wif the way fings are going.

Beale could have hedged his bets, praised Willock the way he did in January over Tom Davies and Todd Cantwell but he chose to put it down, almost certainly on the suggestion of the Ibrox PR team who knew the reporter behind the story. There was no specific question or comment on the other transfer targets mentioned this week such as Jack Butland and Kieran Dowell. Only Willock got mentioned.
Despite his True Blue credentials as a former Rangers Boys Club starlet and Dave Murray’s blue eyed boy Jackson is despised by many online Ibrox fans for not being staunch enough.
David Graham left Ibrox for Linfield earlier this season but there is strong evidence that Blue Room policy is being heavily influenced by the moon-howling on line.
A year ago the Sydney Super Cup was abandoned due to the reaction of Ibrox fans, a couple of matches with banners soon saw Ross Wilson and Stewart Robertson racing for fresh opportunities.
As Beale plays to the gallery he needs to be wary that bears can be very fickle, after snapping up Amad Diallo and Aaron Ramsey on loan some bears wanted a statue outside Ibrox in honour of transfer guru Wilson.
Having trashed Jackson the Record’s award winning reporter will gleefully wade in on any set-back coming Beale’s way.
It’s all frees and “cut price” deals at Ibrox this summer ?

Crystal Palace, 4th Choice keeper, a reserve Norwich striker and now some lower league winger. Mick’s connections working a treat here.

There is ‘no truth ‘ to the Rangers having an interest in Chris Willock says Mick Beale ! In other words the chief sports scoop at the daily Record ,Keith Jackson ,lied to the public by printing in the rag that the Rangers were making the player one of their Summer signings . Jackson revealed the non story to the nation for God only knows what reason ! That’s the problem with all unnamed sources !’They might be lying through their teeth for a few quid bung ….And there is nothing you can do about it ,all in the name of confidentiality ! Dum de dum dum !
