The dramatic twin threats coming from inside Ibrox

There are two parallel issues going on at Ibrox at the moment with the football authorities taking a vow of silence on both.

Trapped in by the Five (Six) Way Agreement of July 2012 the SFA and SPFL are effectively neutered as the Cinch dispute demonstrated with another in the pipeline relating to Glen’s Vodka sponsorship of the SPFL.

While Micky Beale discusses his summer transfer plans with an unrestricted budget it seems that a lot of folk in the know are bailing out of Ibrox while those associated with the club appear hell-bent on torching Scottish football as they fail to come to terms with failure resulting in success for Celtic. Again.

Last night Ross Wilson, Sporting Director joined Douglas Park in finding an escape route, the main question isn’t why they’ve left at such an exciting part of the season but who will be next? Who else is privy to the key information?

New chairman John Bennett apparently earned staunch points by not going to watch Saturday’s match from the Directors Box.

Normally the Season Ticket Renewal campaign gets underway about now, usually on the back of any perceived good news.

Alongside the clearing of the Blue Room an all out attack has been declared on Kevin Clancy for not overturning a 60-40 decision in their favour.

It seems that a club that has gone 49 SPFL matches without having a penalty awarded against them have been on the wrong end of some horrendous miscarriage of justice- or worse.

Former players were first to highlight it, the club captain and manager spoke of the Jota handball on Saturday, well placed pundits have discussed it on an hourly basis with the club’s fan media outlets pointing at the targets of their anger.

Meanwhile Ian Maxwell and Neil Doncaster hide under their desks at Hampden hoping that it all blows over as the calendar counts down to the Scottish Cup semi-finals. They know what to do.

Meanwhile the media package it off as O** F*** problems.

Out of sight is certainly not out of mind, there is no smoke without fire but it is certainly not white smoke emanating from Edmiston Drive. Has reality started to hit as the rats leave a sinking ship?
