Micky Beale was far from happy with his side’s sloppy performance in the 5-2 win over St Mirren at Ibrox today.

After 77 minutes the match was level at 2-2 when Beale decided to make changes with wonderboys Nico Raskin and Malik Tillman replaced as well as Ben Davies.

Within five minutes the home side were 4-2 in front with a further goal in the 86th minute from Scot Arfield putting an emphatic gloss on the scoreline.

Beale has rattled up the stats to make his own record look good but has put off the rebuild until the summer when he quickly has to get a side through Champions League qualifiers and match Celtic domestically.

Wot I fot we did is that we overindulged a little bit, we became a little bit tippy tappy. We forgot that when we lose the ball we have to go and press, be fast across the grass. I fot we become passive.

I was really annoyed with their first goal, take nufing away from the boy O’Hara, it was a fantastic strike but if you rewind back we had a 4 v 3 in attack, we were very wasteful in that moment and our reaction was dreadful from everybody.

From Todd after shooting, from the reaction of people running back, the back four drop off, there’s a crossfield ball that we don’t get out to, there’s a cross, another cross, it’s a horror show from us. So I told them that at half time.

After going 2-1 in front Beale added:

We let in another sloppy goal and then there are changes from the side, we change the shape, the changes (substitutions) that go on to win the game.

Next Sunday Beale takes his side to Aberdeen, with Celtic having two matches to play before then they could kick off at Pittodrie trailing by 15 points.
