Kenny Miller believes that Micky Beale needs to find more players like James Tavernier!
Mark Warburton splashed out £200,000 to take the former Wigan utility man to Ibrox where he has looked on helplessly at the most successful era in Scottish football.
So far Tav has watched Celtic lift 18 trophies with a strong possibility that that total will reach 20 by the end of the current season.
Tav has worn the armband of dignity through almost all of those Celtic parties, expressing his disappointment and apologising to the fans after each let down. Famously in March 2020 he told the club programme that he couldn’t cope with pressure and expectation, that night Tav captained his side to a home defeat from Hamilton for the second time.
Kenny Miller talks almost as much as Beale, in an interview with The Sun he explained why the current Ibrox skipper is a legend and Hall of Famer:
I just think it’s too easy to say he can’t defend. Let’s nail that right away because he definitely can defend. He make mistakes but everyone does. Generally he’s the guy busting a gut to make a difference and he deserves credit for that.
Rangers actually need more guys like Tav. The thing I always back Tav on — forgetting he’s on 100 goals as a full-back, by the way, which is outrageous — is that he’s a guy who turns up.
He takes the criticism that comes his way, when he’s really getting it in the neck, and doesn’t shy away from it.
Earlier this season the serial loser extended his contract for an undisclosed length of time.

Kenny, you shiny odious little fud, you could pick any knuckle-scraping twat from the stands of the Bigotdome and they’d bust a gut for their team…it doesn’t make them good players ffs! Tavenier is a bang-average dud that can occasionally hit a decent dead ball and that’s about it. He is weak, you can see it in his eyes whenever he’s spouting his fake bravado. The fact he is still Sevco captain shows how bad things are over there, the Cardigan would have chased him years ago.
