Micky Beale is reported to be showing interest in two Serie A based strikers.

Earlier this year the cunning Ibrox boss teased followers on his Instagram account by sharing images of a trip to Rome to whip up transfer expectations.

Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers are the likely lads, Lammers has scored once in 19 Serie A appearances this season while Dessers has scored six times in 26 matches.

With Kemar Roofe making six substitute appearances in the season just ended and Alfredo Morelos walking away Beale has Fashion Sakala and Antonio Colak as his current striking options.

The Daily Mail reports:

RANGERS have run checks on Serie A strikers Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers as they weigh up their summer transfer options.

Already monitoring Ike Ugbo of French side Troyes, the Ibrox club are in the market for attacking reinforcements after confirming the exits of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent.

Sportsmail understands Atalanta-owned Lammers and Cremonese forward Dessers are two further names on a list of possibilities given consideration.

A former Netherlands Under-21s international, Lammers cost Atalanta around £6million when he moved from PSV Eindhoven in 2020 and signed a five-year deal.

However, the 26-year-old — who stands 6ft 3ins tall — failed to nail down a regular first-team spot and has since made loan switches to Eintracht Frankfurt, Empoli and, most recently, Sampdoria.

Lammers could be on the move again this summer — as could Dessers following Cremonese’s relegation from Serie A.

The 28-year-old Nigeria international joined the Italians from Genk last summer in a reported £5m deal, following an outstanding loan spell with Feyenoord when he was top scorer in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Meanwhile Oli McBurnie and John Fleck are out of contract at Sheffield United and unlikely to be offered EPL contracts.
