No club has played more European ties than Celtic over the last 11 years.

That stat probably says more about the contrived qualification processes that UEFA has introduced rather than the level of success that the club has had.

All in the hoops have played in 138 UEFA matches over the last 11 years averaging out at 12.5 per season.

Getting through three or four qualifying rounds to reach the group stage provides 12 or 14 fixtures.

In season 2018/19 Celtic played 14 UEFA matches from Alashkert to Valencia with last season the shortest, consisting of just six games. Next season Celtic will again go straight into the group stage of the Champions League.

Perhaps Lawwellball isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be?
2013 is when it was introduced.
We’ve gone from last 16 to lost 17 in the CL since.

  • Jimmy says:

How many did they win? Might have been of some interest or was it too embarrassing?
