Fresh from their Bragging Rights success on Saturday Ibrox fans are overdosing on the Deludemol as they prepare for the start of the transfer window.
While upto seven players slip out the door hopes are high that Micky Beale can produce a trophy winning squad on a budget with free agents Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling expected to sign at some stage next week.
Some exotic deals are always required with Jose Cifuentes fitting the bill, an internationalist with Ecuador and out of contract with Los Angeles later this year.
Free agents don’t require a transfer fee but that is where an agent earns his commission by pushing up the signing on fee, wages and loyalty bonuses with Tom Lawrence and John Souttar currently enjoying those benefits.
As well just handing us UCL Qualification and the league next season if Jose Cifuentes signs for us. ? https://t.co/6JxUcoeKQG

Watched most of his YouTube highlights (I know!) when he was first linked and he looks superb but when you read Brighton wanted him as well he definitely looks like he’d be some player for us. I couldn’t tell you the last box to box midfielder we had like this. Hope it’s true.

Cifuentes was linked with Celtic in 2019, possibly via the City Football Group, but four years down the line his agent is hard at work with Ibrox, Toulouse and Espanyol getting mentioned in Ecuador in the knowledge that social media will quickly carry those rumours to Europe.
Beale is on record expecting to have most of his transfer business completed for the start of pre-season training towards the end of June, with austerity kicking in under chairman John Bennett the rookie boss will have to scale down his ambitions or face the start of training surrounded by some very familiar faces.
When this rumour first came around I wrote about Jose Cifuentes, check it out below ?? https://t.co/dRWENjbTfO https://t.co/KVh9jiMX7w

José Cifuentes tendrÃa por fin su chance en Europa. El Rangers de Glasgow lo tiene a tiro para cerrar su fichaje. Meses antes se hablaba del Espanyol catalán. pic.twitter.com/p2h6cZOY1C
