Morelos Transfer Bingo has been a stable part of the Scottish football news cycle which involves selecting a country, a team then a transfer fee and concocting a story involving ‘keeping tabs’ ‘watching developments’ or ‘preparing an offer’ in the sure knowledge that there is virtually no interest in the player never mind forking out Dembele Dollars.
January 2018, six months on from his arrival from HJK Helsinki, the mysterious bid from a mystery club in China surfaced and was quickly shot down by Internet Bampots highlighting the quotas imposed on Chinese clubs alongside a 100% tax on transfer fees.
With the hare off and running it was open season on Alfie as Celtic sold Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard for proper transfer fees.
Fortunately for the player the speculation earned him two improved contracts while he failed to score 20 SPFL goals in a season.
Galatasaray, Porto and Sevilla are the clubs that have been linked most regularly with Morelos- now as a free agent there remains next to no interest with Colombia or Mexico likely to provide the striker with his next club.

The Rangers striker has done it all in Glasgow since he arrived back in 2017. He’s been lethal, he’s been sluggish. Rampant and unfit. His temper has gotten the better of him at times while at other moments it has sparked him into life and allowed him to score some massive goals for the Light Blues. Whether it be thanks to good form – he’s the club’s top Euro goal scorer, after all – or management are wanting to ship him out after an off-day, the Colombian has certainly had his fair share of linked clubs over the six years.
Staggeringly there has been more than THIRTY clubs over the seasons to be credited with an interest in El Buffalo. But they rank from the sublime to the ridiculous with some tenuous to say the least speculation. Here Football Scotland has a look at the seemingly endless list of Morelos’ suitors.

I see the Evening Times are following their favourite klub and getting the begging bowl out for punters to subscribe to their so called newspaper.
Apparently they have the best journalists in Scotland writing for them, but that having the best comes at a cost.
