One highly significant quote from Micky Beale seems to have slipped under the radar.

Back in January with three trophies within his grasp the former QPR boss met with the Sunday newspapers to explain some of the fings that he finks about and how impressive he is as a manager and football visionary.

As well as inheriting the Europa League runners-up Beale walked into a Viaplay Cup semi-final place, two matches away from winning a trophy as confirmation of how brilliant he is.

Aberdeen were to be faced at Hampden, looking ahead to that match and his side’s trophy prospects, on January 14 Beale told the Daily Record:

When you start the season, there are three trophies up for grabs. It’s unthinkable that they would go elsewhere. Because there’s a big probability that they’re only going to go to Celtic, if they don’t come here. We don’t want that, we’ve had to live that before. So it’s important that we try to win every trophy that’s in front of us.

After beating Aberdeen in extra-time Beale had a final to face against Celtic, starting the match with Nico Raskin and Todd Cantwell on the bench, his side lost the final.

Defeats in the SPFL to Celtic and Aberdeen were followed by a Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to the hoops leaving Beale responsible for an unthinkable outcome to his first season in management.

After just six months in charge Giovanni van Bronckhorst avoided the unthinkable.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement, cheers big man.
There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same more than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying every success for Scotland's Most Successful Club.

In fact, “UNFINKABLE!” would be decent banner for (no Huns at) Hampden on Saturday……

All kidding aside…. Aberdeen add 2-3 decent signings, and Sevco genuinely has a fight for 2nd place next season……However for some this season isn’t nearly finished yet (;-0)
