To an outsider it perhaps looked like Ange Postecoglou was justifying an empty season of failure.
True the defeat from Hibs at Easter Road last night was a sore one to take as the shortcomings of several players in the Celtic squad were exposed.
In their previous visit to Edinburgh they had celebrated winning the SPFL title in front of the Sky Sports cameras but the tone of questioning from Stuart Lovell last night was very different.
Sensing that the former Hibs and Livingston midfielder decided to remind viewers that Celtic would be collecting one trophy on Saturday with the prospect of completing another treble seven days later at Hampden.
With the wryest of smiles Postecoglou suggested that it could be a decent season!

At Tuesday’s pre-match media conference Postecoglou was clearly irked by the line of questioning which focussed on the negatives since the SPFL Premiership title was won.
Context seems to be a lost art in the coverage of Scottish football, after almost two years in the country it appears that it is one aspect that Postecoglou isn’t prepared to embrace.
Weather Forecast. A few days of heavy rain and then an eventual return to glorious sunshine!
To see the coverage we seem to be getting at the moment across all outlets you’d be forgiven if you thought we were the only team to drop points last nite, I’m sure if they scratch the surface they’ll find a few others who didn’t fair so well,
