Celtic Ladies finished their season in style by lifting the Scottish Cup at Hampden.
It was the first time that the showpiece match has been played at the National Stadium, fittingly the match was a Glasgow Derby with around 10,000 fans in the stadium with the match shown live on BBC 1 Scotland.
Fran Alonso’s side were superior in every department as they made up for the heartbreak of losing out on the SWPL title in stoppage time last Sunday with Glasgow City snatching top place.
After a goal-less first half Natasha Flint opened the scoring from close range after a 64th minute corner had caused havoc, four minutes later Claire O’Riordan headed Celtic further in front at the Torglen/Celtic End of the National Stadium.

There was a scare in the 82nd minute when Laura Berry appeared to pull a goal back for the Ibrox Ladies but after a lengthy VAR check it was disallowed for a marginal offside decision.
That was the only worry for the Celtic Ladies who were never troubled during five minutes of stoppage time before the celebrations kicked off in the Hampden sunshine.
