A Twitter account has claimed that Celtic will have a 5,000 seater stadium inside the Barrowfield Train Ground at some stage next year.
There has always been plans to upgrade facilities at Barrowfield and Lennoxtown but nothing significant has come about in the last 15 years.
An indoor training area or preferably a full sized indoor pitch would be a significant step forward with Lennoxtown in winter (October till March) not the sort of environment to encourage additional training time.
Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers have highlighted the issue but so far the only facility is undersoil heating and a one third pitch size indoor area to train in.

With the popularity of the Women’s Team finding a proper home with a grass pitch is a priority. Currently playing at Airdrie and previously in East Kilbride has done nothing to develop support with plastic pitches unlikely to develop elite level players.
Barrowfield does cover a significant area between London Road and the River Clyde, access roads would be required but a 5,000 seater stadium could easily be constructed with scope for an increased capacity.
The success of playing two SWPL matches at Celtic Park has increased demand to watch those fixtures but maintaining the pitch in near perfect condition for the mens team rules out allowing that to become a permanent arrangement.
