Two days after finishing their season without a recognisable trophy the Sports Desk at the Daily Record has come up with more comforting news for distressed bears.
Watching Celtic lifting the SPFL Premiership trophy followed by the Women’s Scottish Cup was a difficult double bill but there is always a stat or two for the Glasgow based publisher to conjure up.
Apparently the Ibrox Tribute Act have picked up more UEFA coefficient points than Manchester United and Real Madrid over the last five years although UEFA’s seeding for next season’s Champions League has both clubs ahead of the ‘Ibrox giants’.
If Beale can get his squad through two Champions League qualifiers he will get the chance to show that last season’s record breaking campaign was a one off.
It seems that transfer talk has gone a little bit quiet with no-one joining Kieran Dowell in the Revolution over the weekend.
Former Stoke defender Dujon Sterling is expected to be announced this week but it is unlikely that an incoming Gallactico will be announced on Friday to overshadow the Scottish Cup Final.
