From the lack of enthusiasm of Jane Lewis through her guest pundits to their website BBC Scotland were completely underwhelmed by Celtic’s victory in the Women’s Scottish Cup.
Despite the inspirational leadership of Malky Thomson and his assistant Craig McPherson the Ibrox ladies finished their season with two live televised defeats in which they were thoroughly outplayed by their opponents in each match.
At Hampden yesterday Celtic played with a smile and purpose with their opponents best summed up by the scowling face of captain Kathy Hill. No doubt she was showing a winners mentality- or auditioning for a future role at BBC Scotland.
Summing up the attitude of the state broadcaster was the website report of Sean McGill, clearly he knows the template to follow follow for a career with the state broadcaster.

The antics of deniers like Kenny Macintyre, Tom English, Steven Thompson and Alasdair Lamont are well known but it seems that throughout the state broadcaster it is becoming impossible to give anything other than a North Korean approach to football coverage.

I don’t know why people get annoyed by this so called Neutral media reporting,it’s never going to change in Scotland,where even new reporters toe the line and be negative about Celtic or make anything about the Huns positive
Ms Lewis had the Rangers as ‘winners ‘ of the cup yesterday in her summing up -twice ,then corrected herself ! Those chronic habits never , ever just fizzle out you know ….The BBC could not show Fran Alonso being interviewed live on camera after the cup win . It was his voice only .Those Beeb cameras evidently don’t have the capacity to show inset pictures such are its low cost production methods ! Can’t wait for Saturday’s state of the art , no expense spared , show case cup final extravaganza production …..With equal amount of Celtic and ICT commentators in the studio !
