Two days after finishing their season without a recognisable trophy the Sports Desk at the Daily Record has come up with more comforting news for distressed bears.
Watching Celtic lifting the SPFL Premiership trophy followed by the Women’s Scottish Cup was a difficult double bill but there is always a stat or two for the Glasgow based publisher to conjure up.
Apparently the Ibrox Tribute Act have picked up more UEFA coefficient points than Manchester United and Real Madrid over the last five years although UEFA’s seeding for next season’s Champions League has both clubs ahead of the ‘Ibrox giants’.
If Beale can get his squad through two Champions League qualifiers he will get the chance to show that last season’s record breaking campaign was a one off.
It seems that transfer talk has gone a little bit quiet with no-one joining Kieran Dowell in the Revolution over the weekend.
Former Stoke defender Dujon Sterling is expected to be announced this week but it is unlikely that an incoming Gallactico will be announced on Friday to overshadow the Scottish Cup Final.

In a season when Celtic won the treble and Rangers became the worst EVER club to play in Champions League, this will be really comforting

I’m pretty sure 104,000(Man United) is 50,000 more than 54,000(sevco) ?? but keep on keepin on your ibrox support club.. pic.twitter.com/tHxERgX9ul

Another trophy for them, truly the most successful club in Scotland ?
— BM67 ? (@Brian_mc67) May 29, 2023
I’m sure that will comfort them in a season that:
– saw Celtic win the treble
– saw them become the worst team ever in the CL proper
– saw them lose, their manager, their DoF, their FD, their Chairman and their CEO and their top players for nothing.Yep, coefficient matters ?

With readership of the daily Record falling off a mountain on a daily basis and with the close football season upon us , the tabloid rag has to come up with plenty of feel good factor fables ,or the numbers of buyers of the product dwindles and withers into dust . This shall be a summer filled with ill contempt regarding Celtic and the dawn of a new dominant era for the Rangers from the most loyal and steadfast media outlet imagineable ! That’s according to a report , you understand ….
Not falling off a mountain, John. More like ‘jumpin’ oota windaes’, as the old song goes.
Hail Hail.
If they “the rangers” keep winning all these trophies they will eclipse our treble if we succeed . Ha ha ha embarrassing childish or wit .I wonder if the SFA record’s will show all “the rangers” trophies. They might differ from the SMSM record’s
