Daizen Maeda will have two very familiar faces on international duty next month with Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate called up for the Kirrin Cup.
Japan will play El Salvador on June 15 then Peru five days later with Celtic represented by three players.
With Celtic’s first pre-season match falling on July 19 against Yokohama F Marinos it means less than a month off for three key members of Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Maeda as been a regular in Hajime Moriyasu’s squad, scoring in the World Cup Finals against Croatia as Japan reached the last 16 of the competition.
Moriyasu has seemed to be lukewarm to the talents of Kyogo and Hatate but with two matches and a 10 day training camp the Celtic duo have the opportunity to impress their international manager.
Celtic’s final match of this season is on June 3 against Inverness Caley Thistle with the new season starting on August 5/6 with the fixtures announced at the end of June.
Congratulations to the Celtic Bhoy’s Trio on being called up to the Japan International Squad. I am sure that they will continue to impress!
