Tam McManus has reignited the penalty discussion touched on briefly by PLZ Soccer on Monday afternoon.
It did appear that a 52 match run of SPFL matches without conceding a penalty was off limits to the media outlets allowed in to hear the wise words of Micky Beale.
The run started last January after Sky Sports acquired a letter of complaint to the SFA after Kevin Clancy awarded a penalty to Aberdeen.
Since that match both managers, Stephen Glass and Giovanni van Bronckhorst have been sacked, penalty scorer Lewis Ferguson has moved to Italy with Dons midfielder Scott Brown surviving a season in management at Fleetwood Town.
Some things never change however, John Beaton, Kevin Clancy, Don Robertson, Nick Walsh and the rest are on message as Sunday’s Duk v Goldson incident highlighted.
I don’t see anything wrong with your comments Tam, it’s perfectly reasonable to question how a team can go a full season without giving away a penalty with some of the VAR howlers we have seen in other matches . Fair comment

First sgn of criticism is followed y outrage and anger. If you look at some of the ridiculous penalties given over the last year it is unfathomable to understand how, with so many clear decisions, they haven’t had a penalty against them.

Because the rules quite clearly state they are exempt from giving away penalties…..keep up Tam ?

What Tam McManus says seems to get a lot of media attention
Ange to Spurs was one example
Silence on this penalty thing though
