TEAMtalk play the classic O** F*** transfer game

TEAMtalk is joining in the comical game of O** F*** transfer tug-of-wars.

In the first decade of this century it was a popular theme highlighted by Scott Brown signing for Celtic a couple of weeks after Ibrox fans had been serenading him at Easter Road.

John Hartson got even closer to a move to Ibrox before seeing the light but anyone paying attention would know that the landscape has changed dramatically.

Mark Warburton, who used to be a city trader, admitted to knowing all about Moussa Dembele but was unable to compete with Celtic for the former Fulham striker.

None of Micky Beale’s squad would have been considered as a Celtic signing. In January 2020 Eboue Kouassi went on loan to Genk, a few weeks later Ianis Hagi moved to Ibrox, had Celtic been interested in the Son of Gheorghe he would have been signed.

The beauty of linking a player with two clubs in Glasgow is that you almost always double the audience for your story with TEAMtalk using that formula with:

Rangers are eyeing up a Celtic-linked striker and could hijack a move for the player who has a superior conversion rate to Erling Haaland this season, TEAMtalk understands.

Celtic cruised to their second successive SPL title under Ange Postecolglou this season. The Hoops led from start to finish and as such, all eyes will be on how Rangers respond in the transfer market this summer.

A move for Arsenal centre-back, Auston Trusty is understood to be taking shape. The USA international was recently crowned Birmingham City’s Player of the Year on the back of a superb loan campaign in the Championship.

Elsewhere, TEAMtalk understands Rangers are becoming a genuine threat to Celtic’s proposed move for Utrecht frontman, Anastasios Douvikas.

Better known as Tasos Douvikas, the Greece international, 23, is currently top-scoring in the Netherlands.

His mark of 18 league goals puts him one ahead of PSV Eindhoven’s Xavi Simons. Douvikas has also provided four assists for Utrecht who have enjoyed a stellar campaign and currently lay in seventh place.

If Celtic want to sign Douvikas he won’t be anywhere near Micky Beale’s Revolution. TEAMtalk may have contact with an ambitious agent, they are highly unlikely to be in the know with the transfer plans of Ange Postecoglou and Micky Beale.

NB Auston Trusty will require a transfer fee and has been quietly dropped from talk of joining the Revolution.

Lol once again sevco linked with players that will require a transfer fee,and yet only last month the confetti shares had been getting dished out to keep the lights on at the BIGOT dome.
So just what makes their fans and their cheerleaders in the media think they have cash to splash.
