The Investment Rumour returns to cheer up suffering Ibrox fans

With virtually no signs of excitement over the signing of Kieran Dowell the Investment rumour has re-emerged at Ibrox.

Eleven years of horrendous management on and off the park has left the Tribute Act on their uppers as they face yet another summer rebuild.

The final elements of the Steven Gerrard Revolution are about to fall off with just the transfer fees from John Lundstram, Borna Barisic and Glen Kamara around to fund the rebuild.

Over the last five years the club has constantly swapped shares for loans with the dilution reducing the stake of Club 1872 from 11% to just over 5%.

As soon as one ‘investor’ gets his fresh allocation of shares it dilutes the stake that previous ‘investors’ held with that sort of business planning heading in only one direction.

More transfer rumours and feel-good stories will be pumped out over the next few weeks while across the city it is party time as the trophies and trebles pile up.

Meanwhile in the real world Douglas Park, Stewart Robertson, Ross Wilson, Craig Mulholland have bailed out with Andrew Dickson expected to be next to walk away.

    RIFC’s shocking financials aside…

just when the Ibrox club could really, really do with new investment,

there is payback for the years of shockingly poor PR around the club since 2012.

Why would anyone – especially a foreign investor – be interested in getting invloved

    with such a negative organisation?

Since 2012, sevco has only cared about playing to the gallery: to soothe its support,

to distract its support – and to try to wring more cash out of its support.

Why would you even touch it with a very long, smelly stick?

I do t see what the attraction would be for any outside investors coming in?
A club that hasn’t posted a single penny in profit ,that routinely writes debt off by holding constant share issues, that posted a £900k loss after reaching a Europa League Final and selling two key assets for over £25m ?
Then there is the full rebuild required, the outstanding Court Cases, the decaying Ground in need of Investment, the UEFA FSR regulations kicking in and of course them being one of numerous Clubs currently under the UEFA microscope.
Did I mention Dave King constantly undermining anything the Board does at every turn?

Any investor who looked at that and thought “Yeah I’ll risk 10’s of millions on a massive gamble” must either be rinsing money through legitimate means or high on deludamol.

You would be safer pumping £20m straight into the Aberdeen,Hearts or Hibs squad and aiming for the CL / EL Bounty for 2nd spot.

It would be a safer punt.

Apparently this rumour comes from a Postman who delivers the bills to the training ground.

  • KC67 says:

They’ll try every trick in the book to sell their scabby season tickets to the deluded – and they’ll fall for it. After all, these are the peepil that gave the world hill billies. Stupid doesn’t cover it.

  • John Copeland says:

Let’s just imagine they are offered new investment over the Summer ! That means that the books have to be opened up and forensically examined for due diligence purposes … Unless the ‘investors ‘ are trying to shampoo their I’ll gotten gains through the 11 year old clumpany themselves ,then it’s job done !

  • Ashe says:

Unfortunately the stocks of deludemol have completely run out some not all of course , are starting to wake up to reality, that the club is on the way to being deid again.

  • Dando says:

There is one man in Scotland (A huge Sevco fan) who genuinely could change their club around and challenge Celtic within around 5 years.

However he will not allow his excellent business reputation get destroyed by being associated with the Lying King & Co….

  • John S says:

With no evidence other than the mass exodus from Ibrox, why don’t the media speculate (they’re good at that) if there will be an Administration event ?

  • Zeddy says:

Any unlikely “investor” there is gonna do one thing….feed on what’s left on the corpse brand and even more so their gullibility….fanfeckintastic !!!!!

And they will willingly do it all over again if ever such an event happens.
