How on earth do you make signing a 23-year-old free agent on the back of half a campaign with Stoke City seem like an inspired swoop?

Nothing is beyond salvaging for the team on the Daily Record as they present a former Chelsea starlet to their army of readers.

For anyone who hasn’t heard about the brilliance of Dujan Sterling mentioning Thomas Tucal and Antonio Conte is a further nod towards Micky Beale’s next stunning signing target.

Two substitute appearances in cup ties for Chelsea have been fitted around loan stints at Coventry, Blackpool and Stoke City.

Kieran Dowell is another inspired choice that is Ibrox bound with former England star Jack Butland adding some stardust to the summer Revolution.

Players coming out of contract are in that situation for a reason. No-one outside Ibrox has shown any interest in Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Scott Arfield or Ryan Jack.

Sterling, Butland and Dowell are in the same situation, it will take more than the brains behind Steven Gerrard to produce a winning team capable of reaching the group stage of the Champions League and toppling Celtic on the back of a month of pre-season training.

I didn’t think the ibrox klub dealt in sterling anymore and that all deals are done with confetti.

The scum remain in much the same situation as ourselves with the amount of money wasted upon players wages and getting nothing in return for the wage getting paid.
The big difference is we can still afford that loss where the scum can’t.
Any transfer business we will do at Celtic will not be reliant upon players having to leave to free up wages, no matter how welcome that would be. The scum can’t make such a claim whatsoever.
You pay the price for overspending upon shite and the scum remain the masters of doing such within the football world and with so many that even don’t want to even represent such scum either.
So until wages are actually freed up as they still can’t afford the current wage bill, then any talk about getting in new players is possibly only built upon bullshit.
Hardly going to be one bit concerned about whatever eejits might want to go into such a scummy club, as one thing we can be confident about as they won’t be of much use so should fit in nicely with the rest of the crap there

Go back to this time last year

When they had mostly the team they have now and these same hacks were trying to argue that they were a better team than the Lisbon Lions
